Amazon has stated in a press release, announcing plans to create 100,000 new jobs in the US within the next 18 months. Meanwhile, the giant e-commerce is one of the largest employers in America. Over the past five years, 150,000 jobs have already been created. By 2018, 280,000 people would work for Amazon. Jeff Bezos, Amazon Founder and CEO said:

“We plan to add another 100,000 new Amazonians across the company over the next 18 months as we open new fulfillment centers.”

New business segments such as the Marketplace and Amazon Flex are likely to be expanded during this time and create many jobs. At the same time, the company claims that there is a need not only in Seattle and Silicon Valley, but also spread across the country in workplaces.
